Introducing New Family Member

Please meet Willie Parker Thompson. Born February 7, 2007. AJ has been begging for him for almost a year. She decided a while back that she wanted him to be like Gary and Kim Dykes' Golden Retrievers. First, she had to feed the cats for a year......but Daddy and I "forgot" about that stipulation because she does such a good job with it. We agreed together that if she got one during spring break, she would have a couple of days for it to get use to her before she had to head back to school and then in no time, it would be summer break and she'd have lots of time to spend with it.

I've been looking in the Macon paper for a few weeks but hadn't really seen any that we thought would be trust worthy dog breeders. Yesterday, there was an ad for three GRs, two males and one female. When we got there, I made AJ go over to one side and then wait for one of the puppies to go to her several times. I really thought she would want the darker of the three but she decided on one of the lighter colored ones. He followed her everywhere. When the guy offered to give him a bath, I told her she'd better go ahead and let him show her how. She asked if she could give him a bath in our bathtub next time!

Willie Parker Thompson is on the back porch, his first night in his new home and he isn't even crying! But, when he met Zoto and Tag, you would have thought he was going to eat them up! I didn't even know he could bark yet!
