Project 365

I have decided to attempt to do Project 365 this year. I will take a picture each day, load it to a template and in a week, have a scrapbook page made. I plan to load each day here. Here is the first day. It is in the Houston County Hospital in Warner Robins. I will have a heart cath tomorrow and hopefully go home Saturday. This was our New Year's Celebration. Happy New Year!

Dance

I love to dance. I am not good at dance! Terrible. So when AJ started to dance, I encouraged her. She is good. Very good. Beka is good also but she doesn't like the bun that is required for ballet so she stopped taking lessons last year! She now tumbles which is ok because she is more of a tough and tumble sort of girl. Ballet had their pictures taken Thursday night. Here's AJ. We had to have them taken three times before we got smiles the way we like them. All the others looked forced and we all know AJ can smile real pretty!

Daddy's Girls

Daddy's Girls are growing up. I want to prepare them for life but I want to keep my babies too! I know they won't be babies forever but I wish they could. I feel as if we are constantly on a merry go round. Run here, run there, stop, get off, get on................you get the idea. Just a couple of weeks ago, Justin took the girls to the Father-Daughter Dance at the Museum of Arts and Sciences when actually, it was been two months ago! Here's a picture of the three of them. They had a great time and and even ran in to some of their dance classmates! Both girls were asleep when they got home. Spring break has come and gone. Instead of going somewhere, the girls wanted to go to Etiquette class in WR. I would recommend it to anyone with small children! I could tell a difference in their attitudes the first night. I know in a few months, they will have forgotten what they learned but you know what????? It didn't cost an arm and a leg and the lady is going to have a different classes throughout the year, so they can go again and again. Sorta like going to refresher school! They had tea parties, learned to set tables, how to fold a napkin into a fan (Bek loved that one), danced, wrote thank you notes and dined out.

Take care everyone!

Love,

JLAR

We went to see Santa a couple of weeks ago. Now, here it is Thanksgiving and I am so thankful for the girls and my family. May God bless each of you as we have been blessed.

Tomorrow's A BIG Day for Beka - Sleeping Beauty Tonight

Tomorrow, we will finally re-adopt Beka. She has been with us for four years. Our readoption paperwork has been with the judge for two of those years! Not to say our legal system is wonderful but the judge finally decided that he would allow us to file our own paperwork when we sat in court one day a couple of months ago.....the secretary for the clerk of court said the judge just kept forgetting to tell her to file it.....so much for the small people :)

So, tonight Beka decided that she wanted her nails done with white tips (American Manicure). She wanted them pretty for being in court tomorrow morning. I painted them and as I was cleaning up her skin, she started falling asleep. I told Justin to help me. When he would try to wipe some of the polish off her skin, it would tickle her and she'd slightly pull her foot away from him. He'd let it go and let her relax and then pick it up again and start over. She is so funny about her toes, can't let anyone touch them but she's been eyeing anyone that has the white tips for a while now but I really didn't think she would let me tip hers! "Mommy, that lady over there has the white stuff on her toes" and she'd not always say it quietly either. I tell the girls that beauty has its price......But at times, it is costly!

And, so, here is Beka getting ready for her big day tomorrow!

Love to all!

AJ's "Almost" Solo

On May 12th Beka decided that she didn't want to be a ballerina anymore. Spring Performance was held May 13th. She did perform but still says that she doesn't want to anymore. We haven't had much time for a couple of months prior and we are still on the go. We started Beka in tumbling/gymnastics last Tuesday and she says that she thinks she is going to like it better than ballet. AJ has been attending the Summer Intensive Camp and really enjoying it. Three weeks ago, her teacher asked if she could dance her portion of the recital at a performance at Wesleyan College for Midsummer Macon. We've just gotten home from that and I had to share some photos. In the scene, AJ is sitting on the park bench with her mommy and the girl in the dress is learning to dance while the girl in the striped tights is laughing at her try. AJ sneaks away from her mommy and watches and then helps the girl learn how to dance. She had to learn all the emotions for this scene and although you can't see them good on the photos here, she did good at recital and tonight.
Here's sending our love and goodnight!!!
